This fall three venues in the County of Monterey will be celebrating Jo Mora’s 150th birthday year with individual exhibits. The John Steinbeck Library is already hosting a display, curated by Susan De Lay, centered on Jo’s career as an author and illustrator. The National Steinbeck Center in Salinas will host an exhibit, curated by Tanya von Giese and Lisa Joseph, showcasing Jo Mora’s versatility as an artist and Monterey History and Art Association, in their Stanton Center venue will feature a display of historic photographs of Jo Mora and his family by Lewis Josselyn – curated by Peter Hiller.
