Celebrate "National Library Card Sign-Up Month" at the Salinas Public Library with our fee relief program, 'Read Away Fines!' and more!

September is a great month to get a fresh start at the Salinas Public library.  Whether you:

• lost your library cards long ago
• never used our libraries before
• returned or newly moved to the community 
• have fees that are preventing you from checking out materials

We see you, we understand that life happens, and we can assure you everyone is welcome here at our libraries!*

In fact, September is when our special 'Read Away Fines' program returns! Yes, you can 'read away' your eligible fees for FREE! Each day you spend some time reading in Sept is a $5 credit. For example, reading 20 days this month at $5/day in credit could result in $100 in eligible fees taken off your account. Just make sure to submit your claim form by the deadline of 4pm Friday, October 2nd. For more information, terms and conditions, and eligible fines for our 'Read Away Fines' program, click HERE.
