Prepare your soon-to-be kindergartener to confidently step into the first day of school with the help of the Salinas Public Library's Kinder Boot Camp! Our Kinder Boot Camp will be accepting incoming kindergarten students in additional to transitional kindergarten (TK) students. These camps are designed to make a smoother transition to school life by introducing them to classroom routines while promoting social interaction, language, and self-regulation skills.

The program is open to all incoming, first-year kindergarten students and incoming transitional kindergarten (TK) students, especially those with limited preschool exposure. As space is very limited, a child may only attend one session. 
Registration is required. Registration opens July 1, 2026.

Additional information:

• Child must be entering Kinder or TK
• Child must be at least 4 years old by the start of the program
• Program is for child only, parents are not allowed to stay

Registration opens Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Reserve a spot for your student!
